"On March 14th, the councilwoman from Rio de Janeiro Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson Gomes, were shot dead in the heart of Rio. The crime is still unsolved, but the investigations point to the participation of cops. Marielle was a critic of police violence, which affects mainly the poor population of Rio de Janeiro (and other big cities in Brazil). She was also very critic of the military intervention that took place in Rio on the last month. She was nominated as a rapporteur of a commission to investigate police violence during the intervention. Some days later she was executed. We cannot forget it. We have to stand up an fight the repression back. Marielle and Anderson are presents."
